Zerintia HealthTech x RCC Accelerator, RCC at Harvard University

Zerintia HealthTech selected for the RCC Accelerator, RCC at Harvard University

13/05/2026

Zerintia HealthTech joins the RCC Accelerator portfolio, RCC at Harvard University. The company was selected following its participation in the Massachusetts Innovation Mission 2026.

The company’s co-founder and president, Joaquín Fernández de Piérola, participated in the Massachusetts Innovation Mission 2026. This initiative, aimed at health sector startups from the Community of Madrid and promoted by Fundación madri+d, took place from May 4–8 in Boston and Cambridge.

In addition, the mission brought together 21 startups alongside representatives from universities, research institutes, and public institutions.

In this context, Zerintia HealthTech was one of the companies selected to join the RCC Accelerator portfolio.

What is the RCC Accelerator?

The RCC Accelerator is a program organized by RCC at Harvard University, designed to connect startups with mentors, investors, and organizations from Boston’s innovation ecosystem.

Participation in the program has an educational and networking focus, aimed at creating long-term collaboration and relationship opportunities.

For Zerintia HealthTech, this means a stable point of contact in Cambridge/Boston and a real connection with one of the most advanced healthtech ecosystems in the world.

Five Days in the Harvard-MIT Ecosystem

Zerintia HealthTech’s entry into the RCC Accelerator came through the Massachusetts Innovation Mission 2026 — a week that combined real-world case studies with high-level strategic visits.

Mornings featured sessions with entrepreneurs from the Harvard-MIT ecosystem. These included founders who have raised tens of millions of dollars, built unicorns, or lead technology transfer at some of the world’s most advanced hospitals.

In the afternoons, the mission opened the doors of MIT, the Harvard iLab, and the Koch Institute, alongside conversations with global leaders in the pharmaceutical industry.

As a result, Zerintia HealthTech returns with a clearer vision of where it wants to take 4RemoteHealth.

4RemoteHealth in Boston

Zerintia HealthTech is the company behind 4RemoteHealth, a real-time remote collaboration SaaS platform for healthcare professionals working in high-complexity clinical environments.

The platform is already deployed in hospitals across Spain, El Salvador, and Romania — where it connects more than 120 ambulances — and was recognized with the Digital Health Entrepreneurship Award from the Community of Madrid in 2026.

4RemoteHealth has been setting global precedents for years: in 2019, it enabled the world’s first remote-assisted surgery via 5G at Mobile World Congress, in collaboration with Vodafone.

Taking 4RemoteHealth to Boston and building real connections within the Harvard-MIT ecosystem is a natural step in Zerintia HealthTech’s international journey.

In addition, the company returns with renewed perspective, valuable new contacts, and stronger conviction than ever in what it is building.
