Zerintia HealthTech digitizes ambulances in Romania’s emergency system

29/10/2025
  • The Spanish digital health company will connect 120 ambulances from Romanian manufacturer Deltamed to Romania’s national healthcare service.

Zerintia HealthTech strengthens its position as a global leader in health technology. The Spanish digital health company has signed a contract with Romanian medical vehicle manufacturer Deltamed. The agreement involves integrating the 4RemoteHealth platform into Romania’s healthcare system servers, enabling the connection of ambulances supplied by Deltamed and equipping them with advanced telehealth and real-time medical monitoring capabilities.

The project begins with the digitalization of 120 Type C (Mobile ICU) ambulances that will operate under the supervision of the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations, an agency under the Romanian Ministry of Internal Affairs responsible for national emergency coordination. Over five years, the contract could expand to connect between 180 and 480 ambulances.

Zerintia HealthTech’s 4RemoteHealth platform was the only one capable of meeting all the technical requirements needed for integration into Romania’s healthcare system servers. The on-premise deployment ensures autonomous and secure operation, fully adapted to the national emergency infrastructure.

Thanks to 4RemoteHealth, the ambulances will be able to monitor and transmit clinical information to hospital medical staff while transporting patients, ensuring faster, more accurate, and better-coordinated care. The vehicles will share real-time images, video, vital signs, inspection camera data, and defibrillator data, facilitating pre-triage clinical processes before hospital arrival or enabling specialist clinical support from emergency centers to stabilize patients during transit if necessary.

The ambulances will be built on Mercedes Sprinter 4×4 chassis. They will be manufactured in accordance with the European EN1789 standard at Deltamed’s facility in Gilău, where everything is developed from scratch, from concept and design to the smallest execution details.

In executing this contract, Zerintia HealthTech has partnered with its local collaborator, Healtech Solutions.

Zerintia HealthTech’s 100% Spanish technology is driving the transformation of a high-impact economic and social sector, such as medical emergencies. The company is already collaborating with ambulance manufacturers in Spain, developing and operating connected vehicles.
