Zerintia HealthTech brings medical telepresence to Morocco

20/10/2026

The Spanish digital health company travels to Morocco on a trade mission and gets ready to broadcast the Morocco IP Live Experience 2026 live with 4RemoteHealth.

In early October 2026, Zerintia HealthTech’s International Business Development team traveled to Casablanca, Rabat, Temara, and Kénitra on an agenda organized by ICEX and the Economic and Commercial Office of the Spanish Embassy in Casablanca.

The team met with medical device distributors, integrators, and both public and private hospitals. At each meeting, they presented 4RemoteHealth, the company’s medical telepresence platform, with live demos.

What sparked the most interest? Two very specific uses: connecting ambulances with a specialist in real time and training healthcare professionals remotely.

Several distributors and a major public university hospital showed interest in taking the conversation further.

A healthcare system growing at full speed

Along the Casablanca-Rabat corridor, new hospitals and construction sites are everywhere. According to the digital health sector report on Morocco published by ICEX in April 2026, the country’s healthcare budget grew 63% between 2021 and 2025, and 24 new hospitals with 2,273 beds are planned through 2027.

The next challenge is connecting this entire system and bringing specialists closer to facilities far from university hospitals. That’s where medical telepresence comes in: an expert can guide a procedure or a clinical decision in real time, remotely and securely.

“Everyone agreed that the time is now. Over the next two or three years, this is going to grow a lot. It may take some effort at first, but now is when you need to be here,” says Nicolás Velasco, from Zerintia HealthTech’s International Business Development team.

That’s why Zerintia HealthTech chose to be on the ground from the start, getting to know the local players who will drive that growth.

Live medical telepresence from Kénitra

The trip also served to prepare the Morocco IP Live Experience 2026, the international interventional pulmonology meeting hosted by the Moroccan Association of Advanced Bronchoscopy (MAAB) on October 29–30.

At Hôpital International Akdital Kénitra, part of the Akdital group, one of the leading names in Moroccan private healthcare, the team worked with Dr. Lamya Chrif Morand to review the spaces, connectivity, and audiovisual setup.

With 4RemoteHealth, three procedures will be broadcast live from the operating room to the auditorium at the Hotel Plaza:

  • CryoEBUS;
  • Transbronchial cryobiopsy;
  • CBCT-guided peripheral nodule biopsy.

After each case, attendees will be able to discuss it with international experts.

From sales meeting to operating room in just a few weeks. Building on Zerintia HealthTech’s presence in Central America, the Caribbean, and the Southern Cone through local partners, and its project in Romania, Morocco now marks 4RemoteHealth’s first step into North Africa.
